My TV running software version suddenly started switching the baseball and football games to the Spanish language. Most of the time shows like Sunday Night Football and the local baseball games are in Spanish, but occasionally when I turn the TV on without changing channels or any settings, the game is in English. But, most of the time they are in Spanish.

Other TV sets connected to the same cable system are all in English all of the time, so it isn't the cable. It is the TV. I swmsung the setup and the chosen language is English.

Hi DrSylvia. How odd! Yes, it is very odd. What is really odd is that sometimes the same channel showing the same sport is in Spanish and sometimes in English. How to make a leaflet on microsoft word must be a clue in there somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it. Guessed it might be a US TV! Check those settings out, and let us know how it what engine does a bugatti have, Sylvia.

Thank you, again for your help. I find my TV menus are quite different from those you showed in your post. I have a manual that is accessible from the TV without using the Internet. I didn't find anything useful in it checking it before I posted here. I can't really tell whether the small changes How to find a roommate fast made fixed things until there is a sports broadcast that usually defaults to Spanish. Those often come in Spanish.

There are two places to check the preferred language in the program. Both are and were set to English. This afternoon I went through the menus and there what is the best type of amp for subwoofers not a lot of choices for some of the settings.

I think I tried that before and it didn't help, but I thought to try it again. It is easy to reverse these changes if they don't help and may be needed.

Well, I found the two sports channels on my TV didn't change when I made the small changes in the program that I mentioned in my previous post. The MLB baseball playoff game was in English, but that is probably because it isn't a regular season game on our regular channel.

What I did do to check the changes, was to go to a cold start. I unplugged the TV and cable box and restarted them. Then, I checked chage channels with the result I mentioned above. I am thinking that I will unplug and restart the cable and TV and go to the startup menu and dump the entire program and reset everything. I don't know whether I can get in lnguage doing that, but I doubt it.

It is about the only thing I haven't tried. Any thoughts on languaage that? Friday night is not a night with a regularly scheduled national football game that I know would have the trouble. I will check sports over the weekend, lagnuage I haven't noticed other channels going to Spanish audio. I hope I am not taking up too much of your time with this. If we can solve this, we may help others. I can't be the only English speaking person who doesn't like watching sports in Spanish!

I'd be tempted to do a reset of it all at this stage too. And it's all good, Sylvia. I kinda enjoy the odd ones that make me think I am sorry I didn't post sooner.

My husband had a rather severe problem over the weekend and we spent Saturday night in the hospital Emergency Room after a midnight ambulance ride, sirens wailing, through mixed snow and sleet to the big hospital in the city and we spent Sunday in the main hospital. Luckily, my husband is OK and was able to come home. I wasn't able to watch sports over the weekend, so I didn't work the Spanish problem. I still plan to reporgram everything on that TV, but the langkage two chnage are filled with appointments for my husband.

I will get back to you and report what happens when I reprogram. DrSylviaNo worries at all, Sylvia. And wow - that sounds like a weekend from hell. So sorry to hear that DrSylvia hopefully your husband will recover well. Just test the Sports language issue when you get free moment. Labels: Televisions. DrSylvia Apprentice. Since chabge season is just starting I would like to solve this problem. Any ideas? All forum topics Previous Topic Next Topic. AntS Moderator.

Hi DrSylviaHow odd! What's the model number of your TV? Any help is appreciated. I will report back when the sports come back on our cable system after dinner tonight.

Came home to set it up today, but I can't get past the initial 'Select a Language' screen. The remote powered the TV on, and whenever I try to push any buttons 'not available' pops up. I've tried unplugging the TV, pairing the remote, another friend's remote, and still get the same results.

Does anyone have a fix for this? Go to Solution. MissBonnie - it's worth a shot. It doesn't work perfectly but it works well enough for us to finish the set-up and watch TV.

We can't navigate through all of the screens with it so are limited to what we can access. Hoping they did actually send us out a new one. View solution in context. Funny - we just bought a Samsung from our BX today too and we are having the exact same problem! TV is stuck on the Welcome screen and we can't pair the remote. Hoping someone answers this soon! But here's part of the chat transcript. Maybe you will have better luck. Then wait 30 seconds and then plug your TV back in.

Carolyn: OK Now we have plugged it back in Carolyn: It's at the Welcome! We cannot navigate from the Welcome screen at all. Rohan: Okay, let us try with the remote pairing now.

With it not being a US model there's no guarantee that we can get the issue resolved but we can at least look into it. I have done an online chat with support and they told me I need to open a service request which I have done. Not sure what the problem is. Waiting on Samsung service to contact me. Turns out it was a problem with the remote!

We bought an inexpensive universal one and now the TV is working. No idea why a bad remote would have caused the TV itself to freeze up and make it so none of the buttons on the TV worked! Well, at least you were able to figure out what happened. I am glad you've gotten it set up to get a new remote. Let us know how it works out once you receive it! My TV is also an American one - same model code and all.

I tried a remote from a different TV, but it was the same type of remote. Should I try to get a universal, or no? MissBonnie Asteroid.
