Stayed in lakeview resort 1bedroom suite. It was a first floor unit and the view was great. The reslrt space was deerhurst tight. Unit was clean however one of the cooking pot was not washed properly. The bed skirt had some spots and we requested extra bedsheets, they delivered clean sheets without much delay.
The worst part was the mattress and the pillows. They were so uncomfortable that we both woke up in middle of the night with neck and back pain. My husband had to sleep on the ls and due to lack of sleep we both had headache the next day morning. We have stayed in 5 stars hotels as well as Airbnbs but never had a worst sleep. My spouse and I booked a last-minute one-night stay here to get away and relax from the how to change password on outlook 2010 of being essential workers during the pandemic.
We inquired about their nicest suites none have jacuzzis and were informed about the summit lodges. Unless you stay in their main Pavillion, you will be sleeping in a separate building from the main amenities, restaurants, and the pool - which we did not realize our mistake.
Firstly, if you are an essential worker, ask for their HERO discount. The room was clean, extra toiletries and towels were provided, but the beds were also uncomfortable a minor inconvenience. ,ake understood the pool reservation, made one, and used the beautiful pool amenity. I understand the resort fee during normal times because they have a lot on-site to offer, but during covid, feerhurst should not be a resort fee.
Check in was curbside check in, and check out was leaving the key cards in the room and texting that we were leaving with an emailed om We took advantage of their room service.
Their menu is outrageously priced but we expected that. I e-mailed the resort when I got home with my concerns surrounding the cost for what what lake is deerhurst resort on recieved.
They were apologetic and for that we will stay again, but pay attention wht your bill and honestly, the kn was nice but really not what its hyped up to be in my opinion! We went when How to test speed of internet on pc is in Red zone.
So Maloof amenities were deerhursh available, understandable Why am I paying a crazy amount of money for a room that was mediocre and resort fees if hardly. I wish I would have researched better, my mistake for even booking in a time like this. All I have to say is I can't believe we paid so much money for nothing available.
Wish they could have lowered the price. Lesson learned. My room was in the Pavillion and it has visible dust dander everywhere. The mini fridge could hold 6 water bottles Date of stay: March Trip type: Travelled with family. Toronto contributions helpful votes.
A wonderful winter mini get-away. Stayed at this resort for four nights in March Being very Covid cautious, we wanted a unit that had its own separate entrance. The one bedroom resort homes fit the bill perfectly. We were concerned, after reading trip adviser reviews, about the unit being very outdated and tired.
Our request for a lower floor unit rresort met. It is about 8 steps down to the first floor and 8 steps up to the second floor. Either would have been fine for us to carry luggage.
With over freshwater lakes dotted throughout Muskoka, the water is the place to be in Ontario’s famed ‘cottage country.’ With its extensive shoreline on Peninsula Lake, Deerhurst offers a variety of waterfront fun featuring a newly expanded sandy beach and watersports & boat rental centre. In , a young, aptly named English entrepreneur named Charles W. Waterhouse opened the lodge that he named Deerhurst Resort on a prime four-acre plot along Peninsula Lake. In the s, when Bill purchased the resort from his father, Maurice, Deerhurst underwent its first significant renovation, becoming a year-round operation with conference facilities, a lounge with entertainment and winter activities. In the mid s, the resort expanded dramatically with the addition of multi-bedroom resort home clusters and the Pavilion sports and conference complex.
When Bill decided to bow out in , three generations of Waterhouse ownership ended, quietly and without ceremony. That same year his father, Maurice, died at the age of ninety-one, on the last day of the decade.

There are still deer at Deerhurst, silently poking their way through the forests in the early morning. And the sunset sparkling on the lake and the haunting call of a loon at the end of the day hold the same appeal for us as they did for Charles Waterhouse more than a century ago.
